Portrait Information & Link
Microsoft's Protrait is a product being supported by the reaserch team and allows simple video conferencing between PCs and handheld devices. It will work with older versions of the Windows operating system, but is designed to install and work best with Windows XP. It is similar to Microsoft's NetMeeting in function. You direct your computer to log on to an ILS (Internet Locator Service) server and can view the directory and quickly connect to another person. A free download version (NOTE: select the PC 2.0 version on the left and not the hand held version on the right) is available on their web page at:

When downloading save it to your machine. To install it double click on the self- extracting installation file and follow the instructions.
